There’s no business like the pink flamingo business, especially at the Moss Bureau enhanced shop at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. These babies get a lot of attention. No surprise, really. Just the thing to be riding around your pool on these hot hot summer days. Giddy up, Divine! Eat your heart out, John Waters.

So stop screwing around. Moss Bureau can simplify things. It’s simply what we do. Click to learn more.
Her death today was absolutely shocking. I think it’s because Zaha was always so amazingly powerfully THERE. She was a life force. She was brilliant and she was mean. A life of fighting for position took its toll. She was not nice. In fact, she was horrible. Look at that face. But you could not resist her and you could not ignore her astounding work. We will miss all aspects of this giant relentless breathtaking woman. Click on her photo above to go to a tribute today in the Guardian, a list with photos of her ten most extraordinary buildings. And click on the photo below to go to a great interview with her in an amazing magazine called UNCUBED. It’s where both of these photos are from.
2016 is going to be a big year for Moss Bureau. We have new clients, we’re launching a new website, two new Instagram pages and this very blog is about to be transformed into a stupendous forum. For those of you who have been just waiting for something new, watch this space. We’ll starting rolling things out over the next week. Except for the obvious reasons why it’s not, 2016 is going to be a great year to be alive. And, of course, what’s the alternative? Stay tuned, friends and neighbors, stay tuned.
It was craziness last night at Broadway and 25th Street, the location of the new Rizzoli store. Okay, okay, maybe the store’s not quite finished but they had a launch party scheduled so launch they did. Thousands of New York book lovers showed up and lined up to get in. Once inside, you saw the excellent and gorgeous Fornasetti wallpaper, had a glass of wine, if you could make it to the bar, and got to hear Diane von Furstenberg and Rizzoli publisher Charles Miers wish you a warm [no air conditioning as yet] welcome. That’s them below.
Joining our friend the great chef Jose Andres, and Macy’s. NBC, the PGA, Perfumania, and of course the entire country of Mexico, Moss Bureau is firing Donald Trump for his unbridled racism and for being a hopeless clown and blight on humanity, and a pig. We know you were about to ask us to open stores in all your crummy condo buildings, so before you do, Donald, don’t bother.
Moss Bureau was down in Houston last week, working our magic at the MFAH store, and in general trying to keep cool. Houston in the summer. Not so recommended for the old, or the young, or the living. But the MFAH is a great museum and they have excellent air conditioning. In case you were wondering, this is the hotel limo. Seriously. And Zaza is the name of the hotel, not the longhorn, which appears to have been hit by the limo earlier in the week.
Sure, a good Picasso can be nice to have around the house, but your $180M will go so much further today (through Friday) at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. At the Last Moss Warehouse Sale Ever. Building 3, Suite 810. 10 to 7 today and Wednesday. 10 to 5 Thursday and Friday. Click on any breast for details (of the sale, not the breast).
There’s no place like MossAngeles for fine shelving. We brought everything back to New York and we have all the 606 Universal Shelving you could want: shelves, uprights, cabinets and even sloping shelves. Black, off white and silver. We have everything except the shoes. If you only had a brain, you’d call 212 204 7107 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info and find out how CHEAP they are. You’re not in Kansas any more and you’re not Judy Garland either, so get some shelves, girlfriend.
