Acclaimed Hamden landmark Torpedo House is proud to introduce an entirely new category of Important Architecture. Fairy Tale Architecture. We look at it as the marriage of Walk Disney and Alice Washburn, the architecture of Torpedo House itself. Free from allegiance to any existing architectural style or school, Washburn was able to draw from them all, and create her own signature style, one in which whimsy, fancy and childlike delight are the driving principles, where Garrison meets Medieval meets Colonial, on equal footing. In the next several weeks, we will be sharing more examples of this exciting historical (and historic) development

“Forget Jerusalem,” Trump said this morning. “I didn’t say Jerusalem. I said Hamden. Anyway, I meant Hamden whatever you might have heard me say. ” Trump went on to say that everyone knew this anyway and he was just acknowledging the obvious. He also said the US would be moving the American embassy to East Rock Park as soon as was feasible and that this would lead to a two-state solution between Israel and Connecticut. As to the charges of “recklessness” and “stupidity”, Trump said he was only keeping a campaign promise because those are exactly what his base demands.
It’s the only red house gallery in the world. Okay, in the United States. Oh my god, all right, in Connecticut. Anyway, it’s private and by appointment and filled with wonder and dustfree and no, you can’t bring your dog, and yes, you can buy things. In fact, that’s the point. If you go to the website now, you can see the sort of things you can buy, and the amazing thing is you don’t even have to come all the way to TORPEDO HOUSE to make a purchase. You can do it from your sofa. Not online, though. You can communicate with us through the website and we will do it all the old-fashioned way. By email. Or the prehistoric way. Telephone. Anyway, you know what they say about torpedos.
