Nahui Olin is the cosmogonic name of Carmen Mondragón, a green-eyed artist’s model, painter, uninhibited spirit, intuitive female liberator, bohemian, and magnetic kindler. She was born in Mexico City in 1893, spending a fair amount of her childhood in France. She married. She divorced (maybe not, but…). She drew in the same circles as Pablo Picasso and Diego Rivera, and modeled for Edward Weston. We need people like her, and, that is why she is relevant right now.
