Moss Book Smarts (Not For Dummies)

Moss and Swarovski Crystal Palace go back. Way back. We’ve been showing these rock star chandeliers since the first seminal collection, and we can prove it because the new book about the collection is filled with images from that massive installation. Speaking of which, we’re also launching that book. Coincidence? I don’t think so. There’s a strong connection between Moss and Crystal Palace.

Nadja wanted to reinvent the chandelier (which she has) and Moss wanted to reposition design (which we have). Is it coincidence we turned to the same creative pool of design and artistic talent? The overlap of designers who have both created chandeliers for the collection and also have other work at Moss is in the range of 110 percent, at least.

Look at the index in the book: the Campana brothers, Tom Dixon, Yves Behar, Zaha Hadid, Tokujin Yoshioka, Ron Arad, Studio Job, Michael Anastassiades, Gaetano Pesce, Amanda Levete, Arik Levy, Barber Osgersy, Ingo Maurer, Jaime Hayon, Marcel Wanders, Marcus Tremonto, the Bouroullecs, Ross Lovegrove, Vincent van Duysen, and, of course, Tord Boontje, whose Blossom is probably the brightest of some pretty bright lights.

And speaking of Studio Job, we just happened to have launched their gorgeous new book two days ago. We are just a book-launching machine over here. Buy one, get the other one at full price: what a deal! When/where will you find them? Click on the book cover to buy from our website, or at the store, of course. And not just during opening hours but during our late night shopping and book launch event on Wednesday night, 12.15.10, from 6 to 8:30. Shop, have a glass of wine, buy the book, drink some more, shop some more. All of life’s pleasures in one place.
